We are thrilled to announce that we will be hosting another talk show titled Progress Over Perfection on Saturday, 31 August 2019 at Canggu Community School.
The event will be hosted by Silvija Rumiha, our founder of Zero Waste Bali and our Guest speaker Siska Nirmala, writer of Zero Waste Adventure book who is a zero-waste enthusiast and has been a guest speaker at many events.
We have heard about so many people who want to do something about the global waste crisis, but are afraid of making a commitment to change because the words zero waste sounds so impossible. In this talk, the speakers will explain how doing zero waste does not equal to not producing a single piece of trash, but rather changing your way of thinking and decision making to be more conscious of the environment which affects all living beings in the cycle of life.
On the day, there will be demonstrations on stage where you will learn how to do home composting as well as eco-enzyme and have the opportunity to watch exclusive footage of a zero-waste tribe from Indonesia. The talk show will be followed by various interesting workshops where you can gain a new skill to make your zero waste journey even more exciting. Workshops selection include:
- DIY Skin Potions by ARTISANskin
- DIY Low Sugar Kombucha by Kore Culture Lab
- Combating Burn Out in Tropical Climate by Lucy Foster Perkins
- Raw Vegan Cooking Demo by Living Food Lab
Progress Over Perfection is a perfect opportunity to meet and mingle with like-minded people, obtain new skills, and share your personal experience and ask questions about living the zero-waste lifestyle.

Based in Bali, KCL specializes in crafting artisanal small-batch cultured drinks such as kombucha and kefir, as well as a wide range of wild lacto fermented vegetables. Kore ferments combine locally produced, fair-trade and organic ingredients with a healthy dose of love and attention to detail.
Kore Culture Lab’s philosophy is that food is medicine, and we can take control of our health through our food choice.
